As a medical astrologer and a Gemini, With Mercury conjunct Pluto today, January 12, 2012, I thought it would be a good time to talk about bathroom topics.  Pluto and Scorpio, after all, rule this area of our world…the bowel movements, the toilet bowl and even the toilet paper.

But did you know?  The way you retrieve the toilet paper actually tells us psychologically, about how you approach life in general!

With Mercury conjunct Pluto today, January 12, 2012, I thought it would be a good time to talk about bathroom topics.  Pluto and Scorpio, after all, rule this area of our world…the bowel movements, the toilet bowl and even the toilet paper.

But did you know?  The way you retrieve the toilet paper actually tells us psychologically, about how you approach life in general!

TOILET PAPER OVER

People who prefer their toilet paper OVER the roll are Type A's

Those who like the paper OVER the top (see illustration) are people who are Type A personalities.  They like to go after what they want. And they’re overt and obvious about it. Even, at times, getting in someone’s face.  These are risk taking people who are fearless in the face of danger or threats.  They are competitive and they like to win, not come in second.  They are people with Big Bang ideas.  They like to work alone and often are entrepreneurs or own their own business.  They are not ‘herd mentality’ and hate being stuck in an office cubical.  Further, Toilet Paper Over people are restless, on the move and prefer mutable or shifting situations. They’re very good in a crisis and can think above the fray to get things done.

Careers may include Wall Street, where everything is slippery and changing by the second, to writers, artists, dancers, music writers, film, video and photographers.  The creative types who strike out on their own are found here.  These people exult in paving the way for others.  They are the pioneers in any career, no matter what it is.  They see ways to improve things and aren’t afraid to stand up for their idea in front of their bosses or management.  These people are loners from the stand point that they don’t need anyone at their side in order to blaze a new trail, invent a new product or idea.

Very impatient with anything that is slow or has anything to do with a Boardroom, team or moving as one, they hate this kind of involvement.  They’re prone to losing jobs where teamwork is a must.  And sometimes, they’re so fed up with the status quo, they are the rebels who make the changes in the world.  They don’t play well together in a sandbox with other children.  At all.  They’re the ones who grab the toy from another kid and refuse to share it.

Rejection is something that this person blows off like a speck of dust off their dress or suit coat.  They don’t care what other people think because they are super confident that what they know is worth something.  You find highly creative people like this who become very famous for their work precisely because they listened to no one’s opinions, but listened to their inner voice who knew better.  Also, if rejected when young, this individual will take an attitude of, “I’ll show you…” and then excel.  They take rejection and make it a mantra to become successful.  You can reject this person over and over again, but they’re like Teflon and keep on moving ahead.  They are very good at listening to their inner knowing, trusting it and saying to hell with the opinion makers.

TOILET PAPER UNDER

Do you prefer your toilet paper dispensed UNDER? It tells about your personality

People who prefer their toilet paper UNDER the roll are Type B's

These are people who feel far more comfortable working for someone else.  They are a group or team-oriented person.  They are the Type B’s in life who want to get along–sometimes at any cost, unfortunately.  Not as confident, they often find comfortableness within a group who has a leader.  They don’t want to be a leader, but they are great followers who are terrific at support and follow up.  When it comes to diplomacy, these folks are elegant.  Never one to get in anyone’s face, they look to say something that will not cause anger or a bad reaction.  Diplomacy is their number one skill besides being a solid team member.

Don’t expect them to speak up and lead, although, when supported by good management or a leader who cares about her or his people, they will contribute excellent ideas to the group.  They feel safe, secure and wanted if they are part of a group or team.  There, they excel in every way and contribute mightily with passion and knowledge.  If management asks them to produce a manual or come up with an idea, they will.  But don’t expect this person to work outside the sphere of the office or group because it is highly uncomfortable for them.

They are not risk takers.  Nor are they daredevils.  You own’t find them jumping off a bridge with a bungee cord tied around their ankles.  They assess everything in those terms.  They like a fixed rut routine where it is the same day in and day out.  They feel Life is rocky enough without having one’s job being rocky, changeable or forcing them to adjust daily.  They love having a cubical in an office because even the walls represent security to them.  Even a womb of sorts where they can create and feel safe and secure.

They make wonderful parents, too.  No one attends their children like these folks.  Again, parenting, being part of a team or group, is psychologically upper most in their make-up.  It might not be a conscious thought, but this group is like a group of fish that swim together in the Ocean of Life.  They are very interested in their neighborhood and local community.  You will find them showing up at county meetings or city meetings.  They care and are involved because they understand the people who make it up are a team on a greater playing field of Life

The PTA, working with under privileged kids and elders, working for a charity, a mission or supporting their local food bank are a joy to these folks.  They love to garden, often have a flower garden if possible, and find community and peace with Nature.  They are hikers, deep thinkers, philosophers and spend a lot of time contemplating the world.  They understand that the fabric of society rests upon the individuals within that group.  And as a group player they do their part.   They vote.  They know their voice makes a difference.  You will find them as coaches for Pee Wee’s, for children’s soccer groups, soccer mom’s and dads, and any other sport their child may love–they will be there as a sideline coach cheering them on.

They tend to marry early and have a lot of children.  They need to feel the “group” around them.  They see a family as a team working together toward certain goals.  They tend to be introverts, although you can see them come out of their shell, much like a Hermit Crab, if it is in response to something the team or group needs–then, they are front and center.

Book reading, ebooks, thoughtful essays and blogs all appeal to this person.  They are the quiet ones in a Library or have their face in their iPad on the bus or train.  Careers for them are where they are a team player.  And it can be in any career, even the arts.  Very creative, they internalize their ideas for a long time before revealing them to the public or to their boss.  They don’t do well with rejection, either.  If they have held a dream of being a writer and finally get the courage up to write, a rejection letter may well end their dream.  Rejection plays a huge part in their lives and this is an area where they need to understand that rejection is only one person’s opinion–not the world’s opinion.  But when you have the ‘team’ concept of reality, it’s as if the whole world has rejected your book or story idea.

Who knew that the way the toilet paper was dispensed, over or under the roll, that we could know so much about you!  Pluto, being deep, dark and underground, has special powers of observation when it comes to the bathroom, as you can tell! :-)))
