Here we are at the end of 2010. We are living in our water world of feelings. It’s a world we know…but that is about to change….
2011: Lessons on how to become a dragonfly. There are examples all around us in Nature on how we can transform ourselves. One of the great ones is that of the Path of the Dragonfly, which is what we’ll be doing in 2011. It’s important to understand on a metaphorical level, that Dragonfly has much to teach and show us. In the real world, the dragonfly nymph is born into a water environment. It may remain there for upwards of two years before, one day, she crawls out on a twig or leaf or stem and molts into the air environment. The old nymph skin dries and cracks open in the sunlight and air.

And those who have the courage to leave their well known world to venture out into another one, will leave much of their ‘old self’ behind.
For the first time, the nymph is now breathing air, instead of existing in her water world. As the old body cracks and falls away, the nymph now has a pair of wings (4) and a new, more beautifully colored body than before. In the water world, she was an ugly looking creature that was brownish colored and could only be described as “alien” looking.
It’s an amazing feat to be waterborne and then transform and become airborne. Even more amazing that she goes from swimming to flying. And so, the same will be asked of us in 2011. Consider that it is a 22/4 year. A master number year. The number 22 is ruled by Pluto. The number 4 is ruled by Saturn. Saturn brings reality. Pluto brings change/transformation. Saturn is fixed and doing the same thing over and over again, much like the nymph living her water world existence did. Pluto comes along, urges the nymph up and out of the water world into the air world where she transforms. To a smaller and larger extent, the same metamorphosis is going to be asked of us. Are we ready to leave our water world for an unknown and unseen air world? Or not? Those who are willing to risk it all through blind faith knowing, will crawl out on their own personal stem to crack and shed their old body (perceptions, expectations, ect.), their old way of doing things, and embrace the new energy and expressions coming in. It won’t be easy. But nothing is down here. If the dragonfly can do it, so can we. The promise of the dragonfly is that you will survive it. In fact, you will not only survive the suffering and painful process of transformation in 2011, but you will thrive and be free in a way you’ve never been before afterward. Embrace the dragonfly as a symbol of yourself, for what is coming and look forward to flying free in every sense. Great gifts are coming for those who aren’t afraid to try their wings in 2011
I’ll see you in the air

While hiking in Sycamore Canyon, this beautiful, huge red dragonfly landed right in front of me. It was almost as large as the palm of my hand. I felt blessed to have it come to me.
And for those who eagerly embrace their new ‘wings’, 2011 is going to be the start of a magnificent new journey. And in that journey, you are going to be far more beautiful as a human being by the end of this tumultuous, challenging year…..you will become a RAINBOW DRAGONFLY. That is a goal worth working toward. Don’t you think?
